Guests: An American husband, a Japanese wife, and their American friend
My very first guests were an American husband, a Japanese wife, and their American friend!!
I was so nervous.
Speaking English in front of a Japanese person made me feel really awkward.
The American husband didn’t seem very interested in my guiding,
so I thought, “Oh no… It’s my first time, and I didn’t do very well.”
But actually, realizing how much I need to improve made me feel determined to brush up my skills and work even harder.
And after the tour, I looked up the Japanese wife, thinking she looked familiar—and it turned out she was an actress who had even appeared in a morning drama series! Plus, I recently saw her playing a key character in an NHK drama I like. I felt frustrated for not realizing it earlier. I wish I could have told her, “I’m cheering for you!”
Although I felt a little down right after the tour with the idea that I should have done better, thanks to this experience, my motivation shot up 100 times!
I’m ready to keep pushing forward!
