About

Hi, my name is Maki.

I’m a national licensed tour guide of Japan based in Nagoya.

I am a mother of two grown-up daughters. I lived in Poland from 2003 to 2007 with my family.  That experience has has stayed deeping in my heart, and to open my second stage of life, I decided to be a thoughtful and storytelling tour guide.

Being in a different culture can be exciting, but a little overwhelming.

I’ll help you understand uniquely Japanese concepts and ideas.

I’ll help you notice the small things that gently awaken your senses.

Let’s discover something you’ve never experienced before —whether it’s castles, local trains, small shrines and temples, sake, mindfulness, or traditions passed down through generations — all felt through your senses.

What kind of guide am I?

To me, castles are more than old buildings — they’re full of life, stories, and silent strength.
I’ll take you beyond the facts, into the heart of Japan’s past, where stones speak and maps come alive.

After living in Poland, I began to rediscover Japan — not through big sights, but through small, quiet wonders that feel truly Japanese.

The curve of a temple roof, the sound of water flowing, the scent of rain, and the way seasons shift so vividly — these gentle details spoke to me in a new way.

Some places, I remember not by sight — but by sound.
The hum of a train, the murmur of water, the wind in the trees.
Let’s listen together, and feel Japan with our ears and hearts.
